Provide people with clean water necessary to live
Beside secondary school construction, they installed several facilities. One of them is well. The cooperative dug several wells like the picture below. For families living away from a well, the cooperative provides the families with clean water with water tanks. Because there are many families using river water for food in Madagascar and this is one of the reasons of infections, providing clear water can reduce people suffer from diseases.
Provide electricity
The cooperative also installed solar panels in their villages. For villages which don’t have electricity infrastructure, solar panels are the only provider of electricity for them. Electricity generated by the solar panels are also used for pumping water up with wells.
Enhance education for children
These pictures show the school under construction. It will be a big school where over 100 children can learn. The school build with concrete blocks will definitely be the biggest and solidest building in the village where most of the houses are made with woods, bamboo and palm leaves.
What amazed me is the fact that the cooperative build this school by themselves. The cooperative put importance on education and give villages several supports like scholarship apart from the school construction.
